Kathy DeVries- Holland Michigan - AGM Speaker.jpg

A guiding light in each Rotary year is the President's theme. Our AGM presenter is Kathy DeVries who will be speaking about this year's theme of IMAGINE ROTARY - People and Connections.

Expand your Vision of Club Impact Through Global Grant Participation

This year's topic will be about how to start participating in Global Grants as a vision for expanding Rotary goodwill, better friendships, and impact in the world. Working one's way through project development involves a basic outline - ways to get involved before writing your own global grant, forming a financial strategy within your club, building internal club capacity for managing global grants, finding a mentor, building relationships, etc. The presentation will be for 30 minutes with time for Q&A.

The Speaker this year is Kathy DeVries from the Rotary Club of Holland, Michigan, President & Managing Broker at Thrive Acquisition / Thrive Business Consulting, LLC from the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan Area. Thrive Business Consulting, LLC offers one-on-one training to business owners. Kathy has helped business owners with buying or selling a business, writing business plans, growth plans, short-term and long-term business strategy, company turnarounds, succession planning, and marketing. Contact Kathy (kathyldevries@gmail.com) for coaching or for interim management solutions.

President Margaret's quote on Kathy's successful Global Grant:

RAGCED Members know that partnerships, like the one you pulled together, helps countries who may have difficulty completing a Global Grant Application, due to spotty Internet connections and other barriers.    margaretw@proliteracydetroit.org

Jennifer Jones - RI Pres - 28 June 2022.jpg

In Rotary we are fortunate to have from Canada, Rotary International's first lady president - Jennifer Jones.  The theme of Imagine Rotary (People and Connections) has been chosen as our Rotary International Theme for 2022 - 2023. Jennifer E. Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada, has become Rotary International’s president for 2022-23, a groundbreaking selection that will make her the first woman to hold that office in the organization’s 115-year history. Click here to read more about Jennifer Jones.
